Marble is a technology company combining intelligent software, computer vision, AI, and advanced mechanical and controls design to develop automated solutions for food processors. We are looking for a full-time Automation Field Technician to help deploy and support our solutions.
As an Automation Field Technician, you will work with Marble’s installation and support team to build, install, and support Marble’s advanced automation equipment for food processors across the country. A typical day at Marble would consist of tasks including:
Traveling to a customer site to fix a controls, mechanical, or pneumatics problem.
Working with the installation team to install new equipment in the field.
Coordinating an upcoming scheduled maintenance visit.
Remotely guiding a customer’s maintenance team through a service process.
Performing an on-site training session for a maintenance team.
Assisting the manufacturing team in assembling conveyor structures, belts, drive components, or pneumatic systems.
Installing electrical cabling and performing low voltage terminations on new machines.
Experience with machinery, tools, and mechanical/electrical assembly.
Ability to reference schematics, assembly drawings, floorplans, work orders, and other documentation.
Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems in a field environment.
Strong ability to work and communicate in a team.
Professional ability to represent Marble in front of customers and maintenance teams.
Ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously.
Ability to travel frequently, sometimes on weekends, with late notice.
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Familiarity with control panel building
Familiarity with industrial maintenance
Machine shop, welding, or 3D printing experience
Experience in a food processing environment
Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time
Possess a driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day
Ability to easily maneuver around and under equipment
Must be comfortable operating in a food processing environment
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
