Marble, a technology company founded to accelerate food system technologies for people and the planet, is seeking a full-time Senior Computer Vision Engineer who is not afraid of a challenge and is eager to design and support automation solutions that are transforming an industry. As a part of the Marble team, you'll work with the latest technologies and help develop the next generation of solutions for food processing, bringing resilience to the food supply chain.
As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer on the Marble team, you will be responsible for developing computer vision algorithms to integrate into robotic and industrial platforms for automating tasks in meat processing.
Your insight and expertise will be crucial to the development of the products we build and will influence decisions on architecture. You'll join a growing team of experts in engineering, robotics, software development, agribusiness, and meat science who you’ll collaborate with as you apply the latest advancements in computer vision technology to pressing issues in meat processing. You’ll also frequently work with customers and external stakeholders as part of our customer-focused approach to development of our cutting-edge solutions. You can expect to talk to customers about their challenges and partner with them to test our solutions.
You will be an early member of the technical team at Marble, and will have the opportunity to influence our technical direction as we work towards proving and unveiling our work to the world.
M.S/ Ph.D degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 3 to 5 years
Background in the form of industry experience, independent course work,
publications, and/or side projects related to the application of ML/DL models to
solve computer vision tasks such as image classification and object detection
Proven experience with developing object detection models (YOLO, Faster R-CNN,
Mask R-CNN, SSD, etc)
Ability to rapidly prototype using common ML/DL/CV frameworks and libraries such
as OpenCV, TensorFlow, Torch, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, etc
Fundamental image processing skills (filtering, morphology, segmentation, feature-
Development experience of robust semantic segmentation algorithms (region-
based, edge-based, and/or deep learning-based segmentation)
Balance between research and experimentation of state-of-the-art methods in CV
and practical implementation of algorithms on a production unit
Experience developing and integrating deep learning-based object tracking
Experience working on both the physics and algorithm side of various imaging
modalities beyond conventional RGB images (LiDAR, multispectral imaging, etc)
Ability to work in a Linux environment, including familiarity with Linux terminal
Bash shell commands
