Marble is looking for a Summer 2025 Software Quality Assurance Intern who is enthusiastic about learning and working with cutting-edge technology. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to design and implement unit, benchmarking, and integration tests for our software systems. You will contribute to the development of automated testing pipelines, ensuring that our Golang-based microservices and tools are reliable, efficient, and performant. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance while deepening your understanding of modern testing frameworks and automation tools.

You’ll have a good balance of guidance and flexibility. An experienced engineer will be nearby to help with problems, but aside from product requirements, the bulk of your projects will be up to you. Additionally, you will gain firsthand insight into how a fast-paced startup operates and innovates in the food processing industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and write unit tests for Golang modules to ensure code reliability and coverage

  • Develop benchmarking tests to evaluate the performance of core services and identify bottlenecks

  • Assist in automating integration tests for distributed microservices

  • Collaborate with development teams to identify testing gaps and ensure best practices in code quality

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and reporting mechanisms

  • Document testing procedures and provide feedback on improving overall testing strategies


Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline

  • A senior graduating in May, August, or December 2025

  • Strong interest in software testing, automation, and quality assurance

  • Experience with Golang or other programming languages (Python, C++, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of CI/CD workflows and GitHub Actions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Internship. 20-40 hours per week
Location: Lincoln, NE - US; occasional travel for in-person meetings and site visits.
